Spoiled in Paradise: Our Stay at Sandals Montego Bay

We just got back from an incredible stay at Sandals Montego Bay in Jamaica, and I have to say—we felt completely spoiled from start to finish. This resort is absolutely beautiful, with a great layout that’s easy to navigate and a beach that’s just stunning. There are several access points to the beach, which made it feel open and inviting no matter where you were on the property.

One of the biggest highlights for us was the Butler service. Every morning, our Butler reserved our favorite lounge chairs—right by the pool and just steps from the beach—and stocked a cooler with our go-to drinks. It was the perfect setup for relaxing all day without having to lift a finger.

Poolside Perfection

Sandals Montego Bay has multiple pools, but we always gravitate toward the one with the swim-up bar. It’s where the energy is, and we love the mix of music, fun, and meeting new people. Our Butler made sure we had everything we needed, and it really elevated the whole experience. He even surprised us with secret menu items to snack before lunch! The pool isn't huge, but it was big enough for us.

Dining That Delivers

Every night, our Butler took care of our dinner reservations and even picked out the best seats in the restaurant. One night, we came back to our room to find a drawn bath on the balcony with champagne—such a thoughtful surprise! They also left snacks in the room before dinner, which was a nice touch.

Our favorite meal was at Butch’s Seafood and Steak—the steak and seafood were both amazing. A close second was Soy Sushi Bar, which had super fresh sushi and a cool atmosphere. Honestly, every meal we had was great. Sandals really knows how to do all-inclusive dining right.

Activities & Things to Do

There’s no shortage of things to do at Sandals Montego Bay. If you’re into water sports, they’ve got everything from snorkeling and paddleboarding to scuba diving and kayaking—all included. On land, you can play tennis, pickleball, join a beach volleyball game, or take a fitness class.

They also offer excursions if you want to explore beyond the resort. Think catamaran cruises, waterfall hikes, and cultural tours. And at night, there’s always something happening—live music, themed parties, and beachside entertainment.

We stayed in Room 1836, a Beachfront Honeymoon Butler Suite with a Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub, and it was absolutely perfect. This suite is located just steps from the beach and offers panoramic ocean views through wall-to-wall glass doors that open up to a spacious private balcony. The balcony features a bistro set and a Tranquility Soaking Tub for two.

Inside, the suite is beautifully designed with a separate living room, a king-size bed, and a spa-style bathroom with a walk-in shower and double vanity. The decor blends modern luxury with island charm, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere.

What truly made the experience unforgettable was the Butler Elite service. From reserving our beach chairs and stocking our cooler to drawing a bath on the balcony with champagne, our Butler took care of every detail. It felt like we had our own personal concierge, and it made all the difference.

This room is ideal for honeymooners, couples celebrating a special occasion, or anyone looking to indulge in a romantic, beachfront escape. We celebrated our 20th Anniversary!

Bayside is the go-to spot for casual dining at Sandals Montego Bay. Offering a buffet-style breakfast and lunch with international flavors, it’s perfect for guests who love variety. In the evening, Bayside transforms into a romantic French brasserie with à la carte service and ocean views.

Building 1800 - Swim-ups

This is a view from the back of building 1800, which offers swim-ups on the ground floor. This is an option in most buildings.

Oleander

Oleander offers a refined taste of the Caribbean in a romantic, plantation-style setting. With great service and rich island flavors, it’s the perfect spot for an elegant dinner just steps from the beach.
